Ever since I have been involved in music, sounds have had a special meaning for me. From the beginning I had a particular relationship to music and the sounds of music.During exercises, the different sounds would flow into my ears, move around my head, and only then a melody would emerge - as if the sounds themselves were talking to me.
When I compose, I follow these sounds - the sounds that keep calling me - and assemble them into new melodies in my mind - regardless of their form, style or origin.

„A Voice keeps calling me“ is the third release of well established Santur player and composer Kioomars Musayyebi. His compositions which combine traditional Persian music with genres of European classical and modern music invite the listener to discover a wide range of emotions and colors offering space for improvisations and ensemble play to his highly expressive musical companions.
